Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin Rob a Bank in Going in Style Remake.
Zach Braff’s latest directorial project is a remake of a 1979 film of the same name starring George Burns, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg. ‘Going in Style’ 2017 sees Academy Award winners Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin play retirees who plan a bank robbery after losing their pension.
“lifelong buddies Willie, Joe and Al, decide to buck retirement and step off the straight-and-narrow for the first time in their lives when their pension fund becomes a corporate casualty. Desperate to pay the bills and come through for their loved ones, the three risk it all by embarking on a daring bid to knock off the very bank that absconded with their money (Official Warner Bros. Pictures synopsis).”
Additional cast includes Oscar nominees Matt Dillion and Ann-Margaret as well as Joey King and Christopher Lloyd. Zach Braff will direct from Theodore Melfi’s script based on the original screenplay by Martin Brest.
The Going in Style remake will be released on April 7, 2017.
